Scientific objectives :   The cruise was arranged at very short notice to conduct a 7-day EM-12 swath bathymetry and magnetometer survey of the northern margin of the Seychelles Plateau. These data will provide essential background information for planning a major seismic experiment to investigate the deep structure of this margin in early 2003.
